Elecampane- Elecampane is a strong expectorant, and also has properties that decrease severe coughing.
Mullein- A powerful expectorant, mullein can help coughs become productive. It’s demulcent qualities can also help relieve inflammation in mucous membranes.
Nettle Leaf- Nettles have many beneficial properties, including several that reduce inflammation. It also delivers minerals and phytonutrients to rebuild damaged membranes and improve cellular function.
Lobelia- Lobelia was traditionally smoked by Indigenous people as a treatment for Asthma. Natural chemicals in lobelia help to thin and clear mucus from the lungs.
Licorice- In addition to its sweet taste, licorice root has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It has traditionally been used to treat coughs as well as ease sore throat symptoms associated with coughing.
Marshmallow Root- This amazing root is used to help with pain and swelling of mucous membranes in the respiratory tract.
